The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for January – July 2026 amounted to:
- USD 54172.8 million - which was an increase of 12.1% compared to the same period last year;
- EUR 46596.2 million - which was an increase of 6.3% compared to the same period last year.
The value of exports amounted to USD 24521.5 million, which was 14.6% increase when compared to the same period last year, while the value of imports amounted to USD 29651.3 million, which was 10.1% increase relative to the same period last year.
Expressed in Euros, the value of exports amounted to EUR 21093.6 million, which was 8.8% increase, compared to the same period last year. The value of imports amounted to EUR 25502.6 million, which was 4.4% increase when compared to the same period last year.
The deficit amounted to USD 5129.8 million, which was a decrease of 7.6% in relation to the same period last year. The deficit expressed in Euros amounted to EUR 4409.0 million, which was a decrease of 12.6% compared to the same period last year.
The export - import ratio equalled 82.7% and was higher if compared to the same period last year when it was 79.4%.
The external trade in the reference period noted the highest level with the counties with which we have signed agreements on free trade. European Union member countries account for 58.6% of total external trade.
Our second major partner refers to the CEFTA countries, since our gained surplus in external trade amounted to USD 2223.8 million, resulting from the exports of cereals and produces thereof, beverages, road vehicles, medical and pharmaceutical products, electrical machines and apparatus. Our exports in the referent period amounted to USD 3280.6 million, while the imports were USD 1056.8 million. The export– import ratio equalled 310.4%. Expressed in EUR, exports amounted to EUR 2822.6 million and imports to EUR 908.8 million (surplus amounted to EUR 1913.9 million and export – import ratio equalled 310.6%).
