The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for the period January-December 2025 amounted to:
- USD 84554.6 million - which was an increase of 12.3% compared to the same period last year;
- EUR 74935.9 million - which was an increase of 7.7% compared to the same period last year.
The value of exports amounted to USD 37320.5 million, which was 13.0% increase when compared to the same period last year, while the value of imports amounted to USD 47231.1 million, which was 11.8% increase relative to the same period last year.
Expressed in Euros, the value of exports amounted to EUR 33073.3 million, which was 8.4% increase, compared to the same period last year. The value of imports amounted to EUR 41862.6 million, which was 7.2% increase when compared to the same period last year.
The deficit amounted to USD 9910.5 million, which was an increase of 7.4% in relation to the same period last year. The deficit expressed in Euros amounted to EUR 8789.3 million, which was an increase of 2.9% compared to the same period last year.
The export - import ratio equalled 79.0% and was higher if compared to the same period last year when it was 78.2%.
The external trade in the reference period noted the highest level with the countries with which we have signed agreements on free trade. European Union member countries account for 58.3% of total external trade.
Our second major partner refers to the CEFTA countries, since our gained surplus in external trade amounted to USD 3353.8 million, resulting from the exports of cereals and produces thereof, road vehicles, beverages, oil and oil derivatives, medical and pharmaceutical products. Our exports in the referent period amounted to USD 5514.4 million, while the imports were USD 2160.7 million. The export– import ratio equalled 255.2 %. Expressed in Euros, exports amounted to EUR 4881.7 million and imports to EUR 1922.6 million (surplus amounted to EUR 2959.1 million and export – import ratio equalled 253.9%).
