External trade, for December 2022


The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for the period January- December 2022 amounted to:

   - USD 70206.7 million - which was an increase of 17.0% compared to the same period 2021;

   - EUR 66613.4million - which was an increase of 31.1% compared to the same period 2021.

The value of exports amounted to USD 29058.2 million, which was 12.4% increase when compared to the same period last year, while the value of imports amounted to USD 41148.5 million, which was 20.4% increase relative to the same period last year.

Expressed in Euros, the value of exports amounted to EUR 27604.7 million, which was 26.3% increase, compared to the same period last year. The value of imports amounted to EUR 39008.7 million, which was 34.8% increase when compared to the same period last year.

The deficit amounted to USD 12090.2 million, which was an increase of 44.9% in relation to the same period last year. The deficit expressed in Euros amounted to 11404.0 million, which was an increase of 61.1% compared to the same period last year.

The export - import ratio equalled 70.6% and was lower if compared to the same period last year when it was 75.6%.

The external trade in the reference period noted the highest level with the counties with which we have signed agreements on free trade. European Union member countries account for 58.7% of total external trade.

Our second major partner refers to the CEFTA countries, since our gained surplus in external trade amounted to USD 2479.3 million, resulting mainly from the exports of electricity, cereals and produces thereof, oil and oil derivatives, iron and steel, and beverages. Our exports in the referent period amounted to USD 4613.7 million, while the imports were USD 2134.4 million. The export– import ratio equalled 216.2 %. Expressed in EUR, exports amounted to 4386.7 and imports to 2023.3 million (surplus amounted to EUR 2363.4 million and export – import ratio equalled 216.8%).
