In the 2021/22 school year in the Republic of Serbia, 243 730 students enrolled at all levels of studies and at all higher education institutions.

Among the total number of enrolled students,102 527, i.e. 42.1%, were men and 141 203, i.e. 57.9%, women.

A total of 205 058 students were enrolled at state and private universities, from that 85.3% i.e. 174 837 at State universities and 14.7%, i.e. 30 221 at private universities.

A total of 38 672 students were enrolled at state and private higher vocational schools, from that 84.1% i.e. 32 533 at State higher vocational schools and 15.9%, i.e. 6 139 at private higher vocational schools.

Observed by way of financing, there were 40.5% students financed from the budget and 59.5% self-financing students.
