In this statistical release, presented are the preliminary data on live births and deaths after the facts of births and deaths are entered into the register books. The data are presented by the months of registration, i.e. entering the data into the Registers in 2020 and 2021.

Number of live births in the Republic of Serbia in the period January – December 2021 amounted to 62 062. Compared with the same period of the previous year, when number of live births was 61 693, noted was the increase in live births by 369, i.e. 0.6%.

Number of deaths in the Republic of Serbia in the period January – December 2021 amounted to 135 901, and if related to the same period 2020, when it was 114 954, it recorded increase by 20 947, or 18.2%.
