Conference “Statistics in the COVID-19 pandemic – from interviewers and producers to users”, 5-10 December 2021


Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS) supported by Eurostat, has organized and conducted for 210 participants the conference “Statistics in the COVID-19 pandemic – from interviewers and producers to users”, from December 5 to December 10, 2021, in Zlatibor, Republic of Serbia.

The benefits of the conference have multiple significance, and they concern not only SORS on its way to achieve compliance with the European Statistical System (ESS), however are also important for the reporting units that actively participated in the meeting and had the opportunity to present their standpoints and exchange experiences.

In the conference, SORS presented the following topics:

   - Survey on gender-based violence against women and other forms of inter-personal violence (GBV)

   - Continuing Vocational Training Survey (CVTS)

   - The Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (SILC)

   - Macroeconomic imbalances procedure indicators and underlying statistics

   - Continuous work on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators

The aim of the conference was to provide an overview of the four surveys that conduct the SORS: Survey on the safety and quality of life of women (GBV), Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC), Continuous professional development / training in companies 2020 (KSUO), and Indicators of macroeconomic imbalances and the statistics on which they are based.
