In this statistical release, presented are the preliminary data on live births and deaths after the facts of births and deaths are entered into the register books. The data are presented by the months of registration, i.e. entering the data into the Registers in 2020 and 2021.

Number of live births in the Republic of Serbia in the month of January 2021 amounted to 4 550. Compared with the same month of the previous year, when the number of live births was 5 152, noted was the decrease in live births by 602, i.e. 11,7%.

Number of deaths in the Republic of Serbia in the month of January amounted to 10 417, and if related to the same month 2020, when it was 8 706, it recorded increase by 1 711, or 19,7%.
