From November 12-14, 2025 the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia is organizing a workshop “From Available to Necessary Indicators for Efficient Planning and Decision Making on Local Level ”.
The workshop is realized within the subcomponent Decision-making Support System on Local Level), which is part of the project “EU4SORS – Development of a Modern Statistical System”. The project is carried out by the SORS with the financial support of the European Union through IPA 2022 Programme aiming at strengthening the capacities of the statistical system of Serbia in providing advanced analytical solution.
The workshop aims at summarizing all the activities carried out between the beginning of the Project and preparation phase for organizing the main survey that will be, on full coverage, realized in all local self-management authorities (SA) and regional chambers of commerce (CC). The focus will be on the comparison of the results of the pilot survey with available indicators and on the analysis of information obtained after the meetings held with SA and CC representatives. The participants of the workshop will be also informed about further steps and planned activities, which will enable efficient preparation for the forthcoming main survey in social, economic and environmental fields.
The key part of the workshop will be the presentations of methodologists in social, economic and environmental spheres, which will focus on available indicators and indicators necessary to decision-makers on local level. They will specifically emphasize the use of new technologies – an example of a city will serve to present the analytics and method of using new technologies for obtaining key information for high-quality decision-making on local level.
