The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia is organising the evaluation workshop “Priorities and Further Steps for Local Statistical Indicators” from 23 to 25 June 2026. The workshop is organised as part of the IPA 2022 Programme “EU4SORS – Development of a Modern Statistical System”. The objective of the workshop is to exchange experiences and define further development of the system for producing, analysing and using statistical data at the local level.

During the workshop, participants are analysing the results of the surveys carried out and the cooperation established so far with local authorities and regional chambers of commerce, with a special focus on linking data with statistical indicators and administrative sources. Possibilities for improving data analysis, visualisation and the use of data in the fields of economy, society and environmental protection are also being discussed.

A special segment is dedicated to the application of modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, in the production of statistical data.

Mira Nikić, Acting Assistant Director of SORS, opened the workshop.

The workshop is expected to result in concrete conclusions and recommendations for further development of local statistical indicators.
