At the workshop, the system for monitoring the SDGs in Serbia and the results of ten - year SDG implementation were presented, along with an overview of the comprehensive review of the global indicator framework conducted in 2025 and its implications for national reporting.
Special focus of the workshop was on international experiences in SDG monitoring, through presentations of Ms. Live Margrethe Rognerud of Statistics Norway, Co-Chair of the IAEG-SDG, and Ms. Monika Gorzelak of Statistics Poland, an expert in the UNECE SDG group, both actively engaged in SDG work at the global and national levels.
Over the past ten years, the 2030 Agenda has become an important framework for monitoring social, economic and environmental development, and the workshop confirmed the importance of further strengthening institutional cooperation and improving the statistical basis for progress tracking and public policies making towards 2030.
