The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS) and the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing a framework for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of official statistics.
The Memorandum was signed by Mr. Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat, and Mr. Branko Josipović, Acting Director of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, in Bishkek, where both institutions participated in the international forum “Modernisation of Statistical Business Processes.”
The agreement aims to support the development and improvement of statistical systems through the exchange of methodologies, best practices, and professional expertise. Cooperation will include the planning and implementation of joint projects and programmes, as well as activities focused on strengthening the professional capacities of staff.
The Memorandum also envisages enhanced collaboration within international and bilateral initiatives, including the development and implementation of joint or coordinated activities.
The signing of this document creates new opportunities for joint projects, expert exchanges, study visits, and training activities, further contributing to the sharing of knowledge and experience across a wide range of statistical domains.
