During the 57th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission, held in New York City, the Director of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Branko Josipović, held a bilateral meeting with the Director of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Turlubayev Maxat Kairatovich.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two national statistical offices and exploring opportunities for future joint activities. Both sides exchanged views on the ongoing modernization of official statistics, the integration of new data sources, and the use of advanced technologies in statistical production.

Particular attention was given to potential collaboration in the areas of digital transformation of statistical systems, methodological development, and the exchange of expertise in the field of statistical infrastructure and data management.

The directors emphasized the importance of international cooperation within the global statistical community and expressed their readiness to further develop professional relations between the statistical offices of Serbia and Kazakhstan.

The meeting confirmed the mutual interest of both institutions in enhancing bilateral cooperation and contributing to the development of modern, innovative, and reliable official statistics.
