In the scope of preparation activities for the Survey of Adult Skills that will be realised in 2026 on December 10 in the premises of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the training of field interviewers is completed.
The Survey aims to collect data on workforce skills, foreign language proficiency and professional licenses, as well as socio-demographic background information enabling comparison of various population groups.
The Survey will enable the production of reliable statistics on the competences of the workforce of our country. The obtained results will be useful for identifying lack of skills and potential discrepancies with labour market needs – which will allow institutions to plan and implement more efficient measures and policies of employment and education.
The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, with the support of the European Union, through the project „EU4SORS – Development of a Modern Statistical System“, is developing a Labour Market Information System (DMSS-LMIS) – „Labour Market Info ”. The system is intended for employers, job seekers, institutions and decision-makers, and aims to provide in one place comprehensive data on labour market offers and demand, as well as to enable easier data-based decision-making.
The system will integrate data from existing registers and records (Central Population Register, Central Register of Compulsory Social Insurance, Tax Administration records, Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Employment Service and private employment services), as well as the resuts of statistical surveys.
