Within the project EU4SORS – Development of a Modern Statistical System the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia presented the key activities and new digital solutions supporting decision-making at local level and announced the survey on data necessary for decision-making at local level in economic, social and environmental spheres to be carried out from December 8-24, 2025.
In Vrdnik, at the “Fruške Residence” hotel, a training for researchers/in-depth interviewers and controllers was held from 1 to 5 December.The training is organized and held by the methodologists and IT professionals of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia within the project EU4SORS – with the focus on the component Decision-Making Support System at local level (DMSS LL). In addition to presenting the organizational activities and methodological tools that will be used in the upcoming DMSS LL survey, participants were also introduced to the use of IT solutions (data entry application and fieldwork tracking application).
Furthermore, one presented at the event key activities and examples of solutions that will be available within the future portal were presented to the media at the event, aiming at supporting local authorities, regional chambers of commerce, chamber of commerce of Vojvodina, and chamber of commerce of the city of Belgrade in data-based decision-making.
The representatives of the EU4SORS project team spoke to the media, pointing out the significance of this project for advancing local planning and decision-making based on quality data.
The project EU4SORS aims to facilitate access to data for all local authorities’ units, provide support in creating policies based on proofs and to improve the methodology of data collection and analysis at local level.
