On Tuesday, 14 October 2025, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia had the honour of welcoming a high-level delegation from the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Statistics — a department-level institution operating under the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province. 

The delegation included:

• Ms XU Lu, Director of the Industrial Statistics Division
• Ms XU Mingjuan, Director of the Social and Technological Statistics Division
• Mr LUO Bin, Director of the Trade and Foreign Economic Statistics Division
• Mr ZHANG Jianwei, Director of the Service Industry Statistics and Survey Division
• Mr CHEN Guoqiang, Director of the Statistical Design and Management Division

The meeting featured a lively and constructive discussion on the statistical domains under the responsibility of the visiting directors, including the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of official statistics, as well as the application of national statistical standards. Special attention was given to the national accounts system, population censuses, statistical database development, and digitalisation of statistical processes.

In a spirit of strengthening bilateral cooperation and mutual support in the field of official statistics, a joint decision was made to initiate the process of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.
