Border traffic of passenger motor vehicles and passengers, III Quarter 2021


The total number of passenger road motor vehicles that entered the Republic of Serbia in the third quarter 2021 increased by 80.6%, compared to the same period of the previous year. The number of vehicles registered in our country increased by 68.4%, while the number of vehicles registered abroad increased by 87.9%. Among foreign vehicles, the largest number was registered in Germany, 7.0%, Hungary, 4.9% and in Austria, 4.5%.

The exit of passenger road motor vehicles from the Republic of Serbia increased by 78.4% compared to the same period 2020. The exit of vehicles registered in the country increased by 62.1%, while in the same period, the exit of vehicles with foreign registration plates increased by 89.9%. The largest number of vehicles was registered in Germany, 7.2%, Hungary, 5.7% and Austria, 4.8%.

The total number of passengers that entered Serbia by all modes of transport during the third quarter 2021 increased by 103.0% in comparison to the same period previous year. The number of passengers in vehicles registered in Serbia increased by 91.7%, while in vehicles with foreign registration plates, it increased by 106.7%.

The total number of passengers that exited from Serbia in the third quarter 2021 increased by 93.1% compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The number of passengers in domestic vehicles increased by 77.3%, while the number of passengers in vehicles with foreign registration plates increased by 98.9%.

The largest number of vehicles entered through the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, 23.9%, then with Croatia, 20.9% and with Hungary, 18.7%. The largest number of vehicles entered Serbia through the following border crossings: Batrovci, 14.2%, Horgoš, 13.7%, and Preševo 13.4%.

The largest number of passenger road motor vehicles exited through the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, 24.5%, then with Hungary, 20.2%, and with Croatia, 18.8%. Three border crossings with the most frequent traffic of passenger transport vehicles in exit from the Republic of Serbia were: Horgoš, 14.4%, Gradina, 12.9%, and Preševo, 11.7%.
