During 2020, the sections: Agriculture, forestry and fishing, Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing, Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, Water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities, Construction and Other service activities of the Republic of Serbia generated waste amounting to 56.3 million tons, out of which 79.9% related to non-hazardous and 20.1% to hazardous waste. The greatest share of generated hazardous waste was from the section of Mining and quarrying (24.6%).
