The objective of the third in the row Winter school, which was organized by the Eurostat, GOPA and Statistical office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS), was to exchange experiences and knowledge among partner NSIs, in order to be more agile and adaptable to the unpredictable changes and to ensure continuous growth and survival.

This was third in the row winter school organized by the SORS. Mr. Miladin Kovačević, general director of SORS, addressed to the participants with a welcome note and officially opened the Winer school 2021. This year, winter school was organized online, having in mind pandemic situation all over the world. This leads to the topics that were the subjects of this year: response of official statistical offices to COVID19 situation and using data visualization tools in monitoring the data collection and in conducting data analysis. Participants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, 'Kosovo*', Montenegro, Turkey, Serbia, Eurostat and GOPA, exchanged experiences in official statistics responding to COVID19 outbreak and shared successful stories in order to generate new ideas.

Mr. Iraj Namdarian kindly accepted invitation to be a guest speaker on this year winter school and shared his thoughts and expertise with the participants.

We hope that next year, in 2022, Winter school will be organized in the SORS premises.
