The total number of passenger road motor vehicles that entered the Republic of Serbia in the fourth quarter 2020 decreased by 40.7%, compared to the same period of the previous year. The number of vehicles registered in our country decreased by 42.5%, while the number of vehicles registered abroad decreased by 39.4%. Among foreign vehicles, the largest number was registered in Hungary, 5.8%, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 4.7% and in Austria, 4.4%.
The exit of passenger road motor vehicles from the Republic of Serbia decreased by 48.1% compared to the same period 2019. The exit of vehicles registered in the country decreased by 47.1%, while in the same period, the exit of vehicles with foreign registration plates decreased by 48.9%. The largest number of vehicles was registered in Hungary, 6.5%, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 6.0% and Germany, 4.8%.
The total number of passengers that entered Serbia by all modes of transport during the fourth quarter 2020 decreased by 48.7% in comparison to the same period previous year. The number of passengers in vehicles registered in Serbia decreased by 52.4%, while in vehicles with foreign registration plates, it decreased by 47.0%.
The total number of passengers that exited from Serbia in the fourth quarter 2020 decreased by 47.4% compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The number of passengers in domestic vehicles decreased by 50.0%, while the number of passengers in vehicles with foreign registration plates decreased by 46.1%.
The largest number of vehicles entered through the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, 35.0%, then with Croatia, 27.8% and with Hungary, 19.3%. The largest number of vehicles entered Serbia through the following border crossings: Batrovci, 18.8%, Horgoš, 14.6% and Sremska Rača, 14.3%.
The largest number of passenger road motor vehicles exited through the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, 34.3% then with Croatia, 21.8%, and with Hungary, 19.4%. Three border crossings with the most frequent traffic of passenger transport vehicles in exit from the Republic of Serbia were: Horgoš, 12.9%, Batrovci, 11.5% and Sremska Rača, 10.0%.
