Statistics of marriages in 2016 recorded a decrease of the number of marriages by 2.8% in relation to 2015, i.e. from 36949 in 2015 to 35921 in 2016. In 2016 the number of divorces was 9046 divorces and shows a fall of 3.6% in relation to 2015. Average age at the moment of divorce was 40 for wives and 44 for husbands.
