Quarterly dynamics of business activities of companies

Quarterly dynamics of enterprises' activity show dynamics changes in financial business activities of enterprises and changes in structure of economic activities in the section of non-financial business economy. Financial activities of enterprises are based on the data on operating income, operating costs and stocks. The data obtained from the Quarterly structural survey are primarily used for calculation of macroeconomic aggregates, and for calculation of quarterly turnover indices in service activities. Since the goal of the survey relates to monitoring the dynamics of financial results of enterprise's activity, created are relevant indices on quarterly (current quarter/ previous quarter) and annual level (current quarter / same quarter of the previous year).

04. September 2026. Quarterly business activities of enterprises, II Quarter 2026

According to the preliminary data, operating income in non-financial business economy in the Republic of Serbia in the second quarter of 2026 increased by 9.7 % relative to the same period of the previous year, while compared to the first quarter of 2026, the increase of 11% was noted. In the Information and Communication Sector, operating income were increased by 8.3% relative to the same period of the previous year, while compared to the first quarter of 2026, the increase of 9.9% was noted.

Operating costs in non-financial business economy in the second quarter of 2026 increased by 7.8% relative to the same period of the previous year, while compared to the first quarter of 2026, the increase of 10.1 % was noted. In the Information and Communication Sector, operating costs were increased by 8.0% relative to the same period of the previous year, while compared to the first quarter of 2026, the increase of 5.7% was noted.
