Total value of sale and purchase of agricultural, forestry and fishing products in the Republic of Serbia in the first quarter 2026, relative to the same period 2025, decreased by 8.2% at current prices and decreased by 5.7% at constant prices.

The UNECE Workshop on Supporting Standards is an international conference focused on the modernization of official statistics. It was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and hosted by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany (Destatis) in Wiesbaden, Germany.

The real GDP growth in the first quarter of 2026, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, amounted 3.2%.

According to seasonally adjusted GDP data, gross domestic product increased by 0.2% in the first quarter of 2026, compared to the previous quarter.

Wholesale and retail trade turnover of motor vehicles and motorcycles in the Republic of Serbia in the first quarter of 2026, compared to the same quarter of previous year, increased by 2.0% at current prices, while decreased by 1.5% at constant prices.

When comparing with the same period last year, the wholesale turnover excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles trade in the first quarter 2026 in the Republic of Serbia increased by 7.6% at current prices, and by 5.7% at constant prices.

Retail trade turnover excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles trade in the Republic of Sebia increased by 9.3% at current prices and by 8.6% at constant prices in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same quarter of 2025.

The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for January - April 2026 amounted to:

   - USD 30277.2 million - which was an increase of 13.7% compared to the same period last year;

   - EUR 25897.4 million - which was an increase of 3.9% compared to the same period last year.

In the Republic of Serbia, in April 2026, compared to April 2025, number of tourist arrivals was by 8.6 % greater, while number of tourist overnight stays was by 3.8 % greater.

In April 2026, compared to April 2025, the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists was by 8.2 % greater while number of overnight stays of foreign tourists was by 0.2% lower.

The industrial production in April 2026 increased by 3.4% relative to April 2025.

Afforestation works volume in 2025 has increased by 4,7% in relation to the previous year. The increase regarding afforestation compared to the previous year was noted in Region Vojvodina, by 10,4% and in Region Šumadija i Zapadna Srbija by 17,4%. In Beogradski Region, decrease was noted, by 36,4% and in Region Južna i Istočna Srbija, by 27,4%.
