The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for January-February 2026 amounted to:

   - USD 13552.2 million - which was an increase of 11.9% compared to the same period last year;

   - EUR 11519.5 million - which was a decrease of 1.3% compared to the same period last year.

In the Republic of Serbia, in February 2026, compared to February 2025, the number of tourist arrivals was by 14.0 % greater, while number of tourist overnight stays was by 12.1 % greater.

In February 2026, compared to February 2025, the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists was by 15.7 % greater while number of overnight stays of foreign tourists was by 8.4% greater.

The industrial production in February 2026 deceasred by 0.3% relative to February 2025.

Retail trade in the Republic of Serbia in February 2026, compared to the same month last year, increased by 4.8% at current prices and at constant prices, by 4.6%.

Retail trade turnover in February 2026, compared with 2025 average, decreased by 5.3% at current prices, and by 5.1% at constant prices.

As part of the EU4SORS project - Development of a Modern Statistical System - the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia is organizing a training course for field researchers/in-depth interviewers on Zlatibor from March 24 to 27, 2026, for the Survey on Data Required for the Construction of a Decision – Making Support System at the National Level.

Number of live births in the Republic of Serbia in the period January-February 2026 amounted to 9 303. Compared with the same period of the previous year, when the number of live births was 9 348, noted was the decrease in live births by 45 i.e. 0.5%.

Number of deaths in the Republic of Serbia in the period  January-February 2026 amounted to 17 534, and if related to the same period of the previous year, when it was 17 846, it recorded decrease by 312, or 1.7%.

Average gross salaries and wages calculated for January 2026 amounted to 163 385 RSD, while average net salaries and wages amounted to 118 429 RSD.

In January 2026. average net salaries and wages increased by 10.2% in nominal terms and by 7.6% in real terms compared with the same month last year.

Median net salaries and wages for January 2026 amounted to 92 671 RSD, meaning that 50% of employees realised wages and salaries up to the mentioned amount.

Producer prices of agricultural and fishing products in January 2026, compared to the same month of 2025 were decreased by 3.2% average.
