In the Republic of Serbia, the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS7), dealing with the situation of children, women and households, is starting in 136 municipalities on September 15.
SORS interviewers will visit more than 10 000 households and conduct the interview face to face with the members of the selected households. Field work will last until December 2025.
We kindly ask the citizens selected in the sample for this survey to welcome the interviewers and answer their questions.
In July 2025, the number of 2 532 building permits was issued, presenting the decrease of 4.6% when compared to July 2024. Out of the total number of permits issued in July 2025, 86.0% related to buildings, and 14.0% to civil engineering constructions. When only buildings are concerned, 81.8% of permits related to residential buildings, and 18.2% to non–residential ones, while regarding civil engineering constructions the largest number related to pipelines, communication and electric power lines (76.1%).

The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, in cooperation with UNECE, hosted the UNECE Workshop on Modernizing Statistical Legislation at Microsoft’s new premises in Novi Beograd. The event gathered over 60 participants from across the globe, including representatives of national statistical offices, academia, and international organizations, and was also broadcast online.
Producer prices of agricultural and fishing products in July 2025, compared to the same month of 2024 were increased by 36.2% average.
Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in August 2025 in relation to July 2025 increased by 0.2% on average.
The emission of CO2 in 2023 decreased by 0.1% relative to 2022.
In Vrnjačka Banja, from 8 to 12 September 2025, within the framework of the project “EU4SORS – Development of a Modern Statistical System”, a workshop titled “Development of Decision-making System at National Level” was held.
