Issued building permits, February 2026
In February 2026, the number of 1 805 building permits was issued, presenting the decrease of 0.7% when compared to February 2025. Out of the total number of permits issued in February 2026, 80.1% related to buildings, and 19.9% to civil engineering constructions. When only buildings are concerned, 80.2% of permits related to residential buildings, and 19.8% to non–residential ones, while regarding civil engineering constructions the largest number related to pipelines, communication and electric power lines (74.2%).

Producer prices of agricultural and fishing products in February 2026, compared to the same month of 2025 were decreased by 3.1% average.

Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in March 2026 in relation to February 2026 increased by 0.5% on average.

Income in money and in kind and individual consumption of households, 2025
In 2025, the average monthly income in money and in kind, per a household (all households), amounted to 109 136 RSD and the individual consumption expenditures of the households (all households) amounted to 109 787 RSD. Relative to 2024, the average monthly income in money and in kind increased by 11.7% and the individual consumption expenditures of the households also increased by 11.8% in nominal terms.

Environmental taxes, 2024
In 2024, revenue from environmental taxes amounted to RSD 304 911 mill, presenting the increase of 13.9% relative to 2023. The greatest share in revenue structure related to energy taxes 86.8% and taxes on transport 7.1%, while taxes on pollution and resources participated with 4.7% and 1.4%, respectively.

Labour Force Survey, 2025
According to the Labour Force Survey, in 2025 the number of employed persons was 2 869 500, the number of unemployed persons was 272 400, and the number of people outside the labour force was 2 464 200.
Compared to the previous year, the number of employed persons decreased by 28 000, and the number of persons outside the labour force decreased by 5 300, while the number of unemployed persons remained almost the same. The employment rate decreased by 0.2 percentage points and amounted to 51.2%. The unemployment rate increased by 0.1 percentage points and was 8.7%, while the share of people outside the labour force was 44.0%, which is 0.2 percentage points higher than in 2024.
The number of formally employed persons in 2025 amounted to 2 541 000, which is 7 800 lower than in the previous year, while the number of informally employed persons decreased by 20 200, amounted to 328 500.

The First Session of the National Coordination Board for Official Statistics
The first session of the National Coordination Board for Official Statistics (the Coordination Board) was held under the organization of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia on April 2nd, 2026.
The Board comprises representatives of all producers of official statistics in the Republic of Serbia. The meeting was attended by 32 representatives from 25 institutions.
The session was chaired by the Acting Director of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, Branko Josipović, in his capacity as Chair of the Coordination Board.
At the meeting, the Rules of Procedure of the National Coordination Board for Official Statistics was adopted, thereby formally constituting the National Coordination Board for Official Statistics in accordance with the new Law on Official Statistics.

External trade, February 2026
The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for January-February 2026 amounted to:
- USD 13552.2 million - which was an increase of 11.9% compared to the same period last year;
- EUR 11519.5 million - which was a decrease of 1.3% compared to the same period last year.
