Number of live births in the Republic of Serbia in the period January-July 2026 amounted to 33 345. Compared with the same period of the previous year, when the number of live births was 32 693, noted was the increase in live births by 652 i.e. 2.0%.

Number of deaths in the Republic of Serbia in the period  January-July 2026 amounted to  55 454, and if related to the same period of the previous year, when it was 55 985, it recorded decrease by 531, or 0.9%.

Average gross salaries and wages calculated for June 2026 amounted to 166 123 RSD, while average net salaries and wages amounted to 120 401 RSD.

Average net salaries and wages, in the period January-June 2026, relative to the same period last year increased by 11.5% in nominal terms, and 8.4% in real terms.

Median net salaries and wages for June 2026 amounted to 94 281 RSD, meaning that 50% of employees realised wages and salaries up to the mentioned amount.

Input prices in agriculture in II Quarter 2026 were increased by 2.5% in relation to II Quarter 2025.

In June 2026, the number of 2 673 building permits was issued, presenting the increase of 11.3% when compared to June 2025. Out of the total number of permits issued in June 2026, 81.3% related to buildings, and 18.7% to civil engineering constructions. When only buildings are concerned, 81.8% of permits related to residential buildings, and 18.2% to non–residential ones, while regarding civil engineering constructions the largest number related to pipelines, communication and electric power lines (69.2%).

Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in July 2026 in relation to June 2026 decreased by 0.2% on average. 

Producer prices of agricultural and fishing products in June 2026, compared to the same month of 2025 were decreased by 6.8% average.

According to the data collected in the second quarter of 2026, value of construction works done on the territory of the Republic of Serbia increased by 20.6% at current prices, relative to the second quarter 2025. Observed at constant prices, it increased by 9.0%. Observed by types of constructions, value of construction works on buildings recorded an increase of 32.4%, and on civil engineering decrease of 7.1%.

The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for January – June 2026 amounted to:

   - USD 46238.2 million - which was an increase of 13.0% compared to the same period last year;

   - EUR 39650.5 million - which was an increase of 5.8% compared to the same period last year.
