Issued building permits, January 2019


In January 2019, 982 building permits were issued, presenting the decrease of 2.9% related to January 2018. Index of anticipated value of works in January 2019 increased by 24.8% relative to January 2018. 

Observed by types of constructions, 72.4% of building permits related to buildings and 27.6% to civil engineering. When referring only to buildings, 59.5% related to residential buildings and 40.5% to non–residential ones, while regarding civil engineering, the largest number related to pipelines, communication and electric power lines (64.9%).

According to the permits issued in January 2019 in the Republic of Serbia, building of 872 dwellings with average area of 80.3 m2 was recorded. Out of the total number of dwellings in new residential buildings, 11.1% of dwellings will be built in single-dwelling buildings, with average area of 152.8 m², and 86.4% of dwellings will be in buildings with three and more dwellings, with significantly smaller average area of 69.0 m².

Anticipated value of works of new construction in January 2019 amounted to 73.8% of totally anticipated value of works. Observed by areas, the greatest construction activity is expected in Sremska oblast, 44.9% of totally anticipated value of works, followed by Beogradska oblast (20.6%), Južnobacka oblast (7.5%), Podunavska oblast (3.7%) and Zapadnobacka oblast (3.4%), while the shares of other areas are from 0.1% to 2.5%.
