Catering and tourism

Catering trade statistics covers and presents turnover volume, structure and trend realized in catering trade activity. Turnover in catering trade is, in terms of book-keeping, a computed value of rendered catering services (accommodation, food and beverages), as well as of other services usually rendered in catering trade (passengers and luggage transport, craftsman services, sale of tobacco, souvenirs, newspapers, etc.). Tourism statistics includes and presents data on tourist turnover and capacities of catering establishments offering accommodation services. Tourist turnover is defined by number of arrivals and overnight stays in accommodation establishments, and capacity by number of accommodation establishments, number of rooms and beds, as of August 31st.
