The statistical surveys include business entities engaged in transport of passengers and goods, registered in transport activity (road, city, rail, river, air and pipeline traffic, as well as in the field of transhipment). Data are processed quarterly and annually.
Number of transported passengers in the first six months of 2019, relative to the same period 2018, decreased by 1.6%, whereof number of passengers in domestic transport decreased by 1.5% and in international transport, it decreased by 3.5%. In air transport, increase of 3.5% was recorded, while in road transport, it remained on the same level. Referring to passengers railway transport, decrease of 21.4% was noted. Operations volume, expressed in pkm, decreased by 2.5%. Goods transported in the first half of 2019 noted growth of 4.4%, relative to the same period 2018. Regarding the same period, expressed in tkm, operations volume increased by 12.8%.
