Protection and safety of individual data on physical persons and legal entities is performed according to strictly defined procedure.
The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (SORS), as the responsible producer of official statistics provides using of anonymized micro data according to the submitted request.
The request can be submitted by:
• Authorized scientific – research organizations (institutes, faculties, universities and centers of extreme values);
• Institutions conducting separate project financed by national or international research programs.
The request can be submitted at the e-mail address: stat@stat.gov.rs, or sent to the postal address:

After the request for anonymized micro data using is approved by the Director of the Office, the contract on cooperation is signed.
According to the contract, defined is the manner in which the anonymized microdata will be available to request submitter. The decision on availability is reached by SORS.
Data access can be enabled:
• In safe room, in the SORS building, in accordance with Instruction on the way of using the safe room and
• On removable media.
Since the procedure of anonymized microdata sets requires additional engagement of the employed staff, SORS can calculate costs of employees work and service of safe room using. All costs must be defined in the contract.
When publishing the results of the surveys based on SORS anonymized micro data, it is necessary to quote SORS as the data source.
