In this statistical release, presented are the preliminary data on live births and deaths after the facts of births and deaths are entered into the register books. The data are presented by the months of registration, i.e. entering the data into the Registers in 2022 and 2023.

Number of live births in the Republic of Serbia in the period January-February 2023 amounted to 10 083. Compared with the same period of the previous year, when number of live births was 9 596, noted was the increase in live births by 487, i.e. 5.1%.

Number of deaths in the Republic of Serbia in the period January-February 2023 amounted to 18 037, and if related to the same period 2022, when it was 24 486, it recorded decrease by 6 449, or 26.3%.
