The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, with the support of the Agency for Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment (UN Women), published the sixth publication "Women and Men in the Republic of Serbia, 2020".

The publication was created as a result of considering the needs of users to monitor the situation in society and gender relations through statistical data and with the intention to use statistics in order to create and implement policies aimed at eliminating gender inequality and promoting equal opportunities for all. For the analysis of the situation, the adoption of appropriate measures and monitoring of their implementation, it is necessary to regularly systematically provide statistical indicators and their improvement. For the first time, this publication presents indicators that serve to monitor the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
