Border traffic of passenger motor vehicles and passengers, III Quarter 2020


The total number of passenger road motor vehicles that entered the Republic of Serbia in the third quarter 2020 decreased by 51.5%, compared to the same period of the previous year. The number of vehicles registered in our country decreased by 48.2%, while the number of vehicles registered abroad decreased by 53.3%. Among foreign vehicles, the largest number was registered in Hungary, 9.9%, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 6.1% and in Germany, 5.2%.

The exit of passenger road motor vehicles from the Republic of Serbia decreased by 52.9% compared to the same period 2019. The exit of vehicles registered in the country decreased by 47.2%, while in the same period, the exit of vehicles with foreign registration plates decreased by 56.2%. The largest number of vehicles was registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 7.0%, Hungary, 6.5% and Germany, 5.8%.

The total number of passengers that entered Serbia by all modes of transport during the third quarter 2020 decreased by 60.3% in comparison to the same period previous year. The number of passengers in vehicles registered in Serbia decreased by 61.9%, while in vehicles with foreign registration plates, it decreased by 59.8%.

The total number of passengers that exited from Serbia in the third quarter 2020 decreased by 59.1% compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The number of passengers in domestic vehicles decreased by 60.8%, while the number of passengers in vehicles with foreign registration plates decreased by 58.4%.

The largest number of vehicles entered through the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, 34.2%, then with Croatia, 22.9% and with Hungary, 18.8%. The largest number of vehicles entered Serbia through the following border crossings: Horgoš, 15.4%, Batrovci, 13.7% and Gradina, 12.3%.

The largest number of passenger road motor vehicles exited through the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, 37.3% then with Croatia, 21.5%, and with Hungary, 17.4%. Three border crossings with the most frequent traffic of passenger transport vehicles in exit from the Republic of Serbia were: Gradina, 12.7%, Horgoš, 12.5% and Batrovci, 11.2%.
