In September 2019, 2 237 building permits were issued, presenting the increase of 27.0% related to September 2018. Index of anticipated value of works in September 2019 increased by 118.1% relative to September 2018.
Observed by types of constructions, in September 2019, 80.8% of building permits related to buildings and 19.2% to civil engineering. When referring only to buildings, 73.1% related to residential buildings and 26.9% to non–residential ones, while regarding civil engineering, the largest number related to pipelines, communication and electric power lines (65.0%).
According to the permits issued in September 2019 in the Republic of Serbia, building of 2 382 dwellings with average area of 75.6 m2 was recorded. Out of the total number of dwellings in new residential buildings, 8.7% of dwellings will be built in single-dwelling buildings, with average area of 155.5 m², and 89.9% of dwellings will be in buildings with three and more dwellings, with significantly smaller average area of 66.2 m².
Anticipated value of works of new construction in September 2019 amounted to 71.9% of totally anticipated value of works. Observed by areas, the greatest construction activity is expected in Beogradska oblast (24.7%) of totally anticipated value of works, followed by Nišavska oblast (23.6%), Severnobačka oblast (13.9%), Južnobačka oblast (6.1%) and Sremska oblast (4.1%), while the shares of other areas are from 0.2% to 3.9%.
