Income in money and in kind and individual consumption of households, first quarter 2019

In the first quarter 2019, the average monthly income in money and in kind, per a household, amounted to 65872 RSD and showed the increase of 5.4% in nominal terms, relative to the same quarter 2018, and increase of 0.1% relative to the fourth quarter 2018, in nominal terms. 

The largest share of income in money and in kind refers to the salaries and wages of the employed – 49.3%, pensions – 32.3%, income from agriculture, hunting and fishing – 4.7%, natural consumption – 3.4%, other income – 2.7%, other receipts – 2.7%, social insurance receipts – 2.5%, and 2.4% refers to income from other sources.  

The individual consumption expenditures of the households, in the first quarter 2019, amounted to 66064 RSD and showed the increase of 3.8% in nominal terms, relative to the same quarter 2018, and increase of 0.1% relative to the fourth quarter 2018, in nominal terms.   

The largest share of the individual consumption expenditures of the households relates to expenditures for food and non-alcoholic beverages – 34.0%, followed by expenditures related to housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels – 17.3%. Expenditures for transport amounted to 9.3%, for miscellaneous goods and services – 5.9%, for communication – 5.5%, for clothing and footwear – 5.3%, for recreation and culture – 4.7%, for alcoholic beverages and tobacco – 4.7%, for health – 4.4%, for furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance – 4.2% and 4.7% relates to other groups of individual consumption. 

Of the total number of households envisaged for interview in the first quarter 2019, (2214 for the Republic of Serbia), the number of 1597 households (72%) were interviewed.

Starting from 1999 the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia has not at disposal and may not provide available certain data relative to AP Kosovo and Metohija and therefore these data are not included in the coverage for the Republic of Serbia (total).
