Consumption of hazardous chemicals, 2018

 

In 2018 a total consumption of hazardous chemicals amounted 751 thousand tons, by 38.1% less in relation to 2017. Observed according to toxicity class, the largest share in total consumption is recorded at a class of very toxic chemicals (C), 53.7%, then followed by a class of toxic (D), 33.9%, harmful (E), 9.0%, carcinogenic, mutagenic and chemicals toxic for reproduction(А), 2.9%, and chronically toxic chemicals (B), 0.5%.
In the section of Manufacturing, the consumption of hazardous chemicals in 2018 amounted 730 thousand tons, of which according to divisions, the largest share was observed in the divisions of Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products– 87.5%. Observed according to toxicity classes, in this section, the largest consumption is recorded in a class of very toxic (C), 54.9%, toxic (D), 32.6%, and harmful chemicals (E), 9.0%.
