In November 2018, 1 672 building permits were issued. If observing the period from the beginning of the year, in the first eleven months, total number of issued permits amounted to 18 016, presenting the increase of 6.3% in relation with the same period of the previous year. In the mentioned period, anticipated value of works was increased by 3.6%.

Out of total number of issued permits in November 2018, 77.7% related to buildings and 22.3% to civil engineering. When referring only to buildings, 65.6% related to residential buildings and 34.4% to non–residential ones, while regarding civil engineering, the largest number related to pipelines, communication and electric power lines (71.3%).

According to the permits issued in November 2018 in the Republic of Serbia, building of 2 076 dwellings with average area of 71.0 m2 was recorded. Out of the total number of dwellings in new residential buildings, 7.0% of dwellings will be built in single-dwelling buildings, with average area of 149.7 m2, while 90.7% of dwellings will be in the buildings with three and more dwellings, with significantly smaller average area of 64.5 m2.

Anticipated value of works on new building in November 2018 amounts to 83.5% of totally anticipated value of works. Observed by areas, the greatest construction activity is expected in Beogradska oblast, 41.7% of the anticipated value of new construction, followed by Južnobačka oblast (10.4%), Braničevska oblast (7.8%), Južnobanatska oblast (7.3%) and Zlatiborska oblast (6.5%), while the shares of other areas are from 0.2% up to 3.4%.
