In October 2018, 2 237 building permits were issued, presenting the increase of 16.8% in relation with October 2017. Index of anticipated value of works in October 2018 was increased by 2.3% in relation with October 2017.

Observed by types of constructions, in October 2018, 82.7% of issued permits related to buildings and 17.3% to civil engineering. When referring only to buildings, 68.5% related to residential buildings and 31.5% to non–residential ones, while regarding civil engineering, the largest number related to pipelines, communication and electric power lines (66.9%).

According to the permits issued in October 2018 in the Republic of Serbia, building of 2 093 dwellings with average area of 80.7 m2 was recorded. Number of dwellings increased by 20.9% when compared to the same period of the previous year. Out of the total number of dwellings in new residential buildings, 11.0% of dwellings will be built in single-dwelling buildings, with average area of 152.6 m2, while 87.7% of dwellings will be in the buildings with three and more dwellings, with significantly smaller average area of 70.0 m2.

Anticipated value of works on new building in October 2018 amounts to 75.6% of totally anticipated value of works. Observed by areas, the greatest construction activity is expected in Beogradska oblast, 24.5% of the anticipated value of new construction, followed by Južnobačka oblast (10.6%), Sremska oblast (9.4%), Šumadijska oblast (8.1%) and Pčinjska oblast (7.5%), while the shares of other areas are from 0.1% up to 6.6%.
